This session blends mindset and method. On the human side: how to support people emotionally, communicate evolving plans, and sustain culture through ambiguity when the stakes are high and the answers aren't obvious. On the tactical side: frameworks for identifying root issues, weighing options, and moving from analysis to action — even in fast-moving or messy environments.

Whether you're pitching, presenting, or leading a meeting, craft core messages that resonate and communicate with presence  even if speaking isn't your favorite thing. Then zoom out: explore what it means to grow from positional leadership (title-based) to influential leadership (trust-based), inspired by John Maxwell's “5 Levels of Leadership.” Identify your current leadership level and build habits that deepen credibility and expand your influence, regardless of role.
 

January 19- March 15, Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-5:00pm in Fremont Hall
This three-level program provides students with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to succeed in a highly technical field. Students will gain practical experience working with specialized hardware and equipment, including proper handling, cleaning, and inspection. As they progress through the program, students will develop advanced troubleshooting skills in areas such as networking, diagnostics, and server management, while also gaining an introduction to technical project management and leadership. By the end of the program students will have developed the knowledge and confidence needed to support the day-to-day operations of a live data center. Students need to bring a laptop to class.

January 19- February 1, Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-5:00pm in Fremont Hall
The Level 1 Data Technician class is designed for new data technicians or students who are interested in working in data centers. The primary goal of our Level 1 technician course is to get students familiar with the hardware associated with data centers. Students will learn about the unique equipment they will see in a data center, learn how to handle fiber safely and learn how to clean and inspect fiber. Hands-on labs will teach fiber handling, electrical safety, and basic server maintenance. This 40-hour course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills they can immediately apply in the workplace. Students need to bring a laptop to class.

Hands-On Salon: Starting Tuesday, February 2, 2027 until Thursday, May 6, 2027, every Tu/Wed/Th 9:00 am – 3:30 pm – Dodge Hall, Room 1205
The Professional Dog Grooming Certificate equips students with the essential skills for a successful career in the grooming industry. The completion of this course prepares you for the eligibility to sit for the AKC-PGC Exam and earn your industry credential. This course blends hands-on salon training with Zoom sessions and self-paced coursework to build the skills and knowledge needed for a successful grooming career.
*Closed toe shoes are required & students cannot where denim. 

February 8 -February 19, Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-5:00pm in Fremont Hall
The Level 2 Data Technician class is designed to expand the student's troubleshooting capabilities when working in a data center. The primary goal of our Level 2 technician course is to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully troubleshoot more complex scenarios on their own. Students will learn about network topology, how to run network diagnostics and how to manage servers, including routine maintenance, remote and PXE booting, Linux commands and swapping components. This 40-hour course will provide participants with knowledge and skills they can immediately apply in the workplace. Students need to bring a laptop to class.

March 1-March 15, Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-5:00pm in Fremont Hall
The Level 3 Data Technician class is designed to shift students into the role of successfully managing a team of data technicians in a data center. The primary goal of our Level 3 technician course is to familiarize the student with management skills needed in a highly technical environment. Students will learn how to coordinate complex troubleshooting, basics of technical project management, and how to lead teams in a challenging technically advanced setting. This 40-hour course will provide participants with knowledge and skills they can immediately apply in the workplace. Students need to bring a laptop to class.
